This production takes young audiences on a secretive and poetic journey through the night. Why does time pass more slowly at night? Why is silence louder at night? Why are thoughts heavier at night? How do things enter into our dreams? The audience will meet the Night Folder, who unfolds the night, the queen of the night, who collects silence, Bedman, who would love to be able to fly, and the Sleepwalker, who transforms sleep into dreams. This series of associations is accompanied by nighttime phenomena and the fantasy of experimental sounds from a bass transverse flute and songs about the night. The audience members encounter these nighttime figures while lying on pillows. And when it gets dark, the dreams keep on shining.

Franziska Henschel studied acting, but soon changed her focus and began her studies in directing at the Hamburg Academy of Music and Theater. While there, she worked intensely with languages of form, working methods and contemporary dance. As a director, Franziska Henschel has created productions for children and adults at the intersections of acting and performance/dance which she develops based on themes, texts or also drawings, always together with the respective ensemble.
