„Oh, why didn’t I choose King Thrushbeard” the princess moaned on her way to the poorhouse. And maybe she was sad for the first time in her life. She comes from a wonderful fairy-tale realm, one like everybody dreams of. Pretty, colorful, friendly and comfortable. And the princess does not want to leave, she scares off every suitor. But she overlooks the wonderful King Thrushbeard. Her father, the King, wants to marry off his daughter, so, with a heavy heart, he pushes her out of the nest. For the first time the princess has to sleep outdoors and freezes. She learns how to work, to care for herself, to earn money, to gather food. She experiences hurt, injustice, sadness and starts to love.
